My Antarctic Krill Oil delivers EPA and DHA in phospholipid form, the same structure as human cell membranes, so absorption is direct and does not depend on eating a high-fat meal alongside it. Antarctic Krill Oil delivers omega-3 fatty acids in phospholipid form, the same structural form as human cell membranes, which is why absorption is fundamentally different from standard fish oil.
Marine Phospholipids (400mg) are the delivery vehicle for the omega-3s in this formula. Phospholipid-bound omega-3s are recognised and taken up by cells directly, without the conversion step required by triglyceride-form fish oils or the additional step required by the ethyl ester form found in most standard supermarket supplements. Absorption is not dependent on eating a fatty meal at the same time.
EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid, 120mg)supports a healthy inflammatory response, which is relevant during perimenopause
DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid, 55mg) is the structural omega-3 for the brain, making up a significant proportion of brain tissue. It supports cognitive function, focus, mood and the neurological changes that can accompany perimenopause.
Omega-9 (80mg) and Omega-6 (20mg) contribute to cardiovascular health and healthy cell membrane function alongside the primary omega-3 fatty acids.
Astaxanthin (100μg) is a naturally occurring carotenoid antioxidant found in krill. It protects the omega-3 fatty acids from oxidation, which is one of the reasons krill oil does not carry the fishy odour or repeating associated with standard fish oil capsules. Astaxanthin also has its own own antioxidant properties and ability to support a healthy inflammatory response

Early days, but super happy with the krill oil. Very easy to take and no aftertaste - will definitely buy again.

Very pleased with this product, the first omega oil that has genuinely made a difference to my skin. The dryness has completely gone (from both face and body), it is tasteless, easy to swallow and I wouldn't be without it now.
The Krill Oil capsules are really easy to swallow, a nice size and no aftertaste at all. Four stars given as it's too early to say yet if they are making a difference.
