Castor oil packing has a long traditional history, but doing it at home is notoriously messy. My compress makes the process straightforward: pure organic cotton sits directly against the skin, a non-toxic, water-resistant backing protects clothing and bedding, and the design keeps the oil in place for the duration of use.
Each pack is handmade in the south of England from organic cotton and toxin-free materials. Because they're made by hand rather than mass produced, stock is limited and released in batches.
The materials have been selected with skin safety as the priority. The polyurethane backing is CPSIA compliant, meeting US Consumer Product Safety Commission standards for lead and phthalates, a level of reassurance that many castor oil packs on the market do not provide.

- Place the soft, organic cotton side directly against the skin, over the liver, abdomen or pelvis
- Machine washable at 40 degrees

Apply 1 to 2 tablespoons of PCH Organic Castor Oil directly to the skin or to the centre of the compress. Place the compress over the target area, most commonly over the liver (right side of the abdomen), lower abdomen or pelvis, and secure in place. Leave for 45 to 60 minutes, or overnight if comfortable.
Use an old towel or clothing as additional protection. The compress does not need to be washed after every session.
For external use only. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. Not recommended during menstruation or pregnancy. Keep out of reach of children. Castor oil may stain - always use an old towel or clothing during packing.
