100% organic, cold pressed and free from hexane and pesticides, with a long history of topical use behind it.

Castor oil is naturally rich in ricinoleic acid, a fatty acid known for its anti-inflammatory properties. It supports the skin barrier and slows moisture loss, which matters most on dry or easily irritated areas.

Because castor oil is thicker than many other oils, it stays on the skin for longer. This makes it well suited to targeted use on the scalp, brows, lashes and skin, and for sustained contact during castor oil packing. If you're using the PCH castor oil pack alongside it, that's made from organic, toxin-free materials and manufactured in the south of England.

What Organic Castor Oil supports:

  • Dry scalp and hair health
  • Brittle lashes and sparse brows
  • Skin hydration and barrier function
  • Areas of skin prone to dryness or irritation
  • Targeted use with the organic, toxin-free castor oil pack, made in the south of England

How To Use

Apply directly to the scalp, hair, brows, lashes or skin as needed. For castor oil pack use, apply 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil directly to the skin or to the centre of the compress. Can be used as part of a regular self-care routine.

For external use only. Do not consume. Not recommended for use during menstruation or pregnancy. Do not apply to irritated or broken skin. Castor oil may stain clothing or bedding - use an old towel or t-shirt when packing. If you have any concerns about prescription drug interactions or are under medical supervision, consult your GP, nutritional practitioner or contact us.

Ingredients

100% Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil is cold pressed from organically grown castor beans without the use of heat or chemical solvents, preserving the oil’s naturally occurring ricinoleic acid and omega-9 fatty acids in their most intact form.

Castor oil naturally contains ricinoleic acid and omega-9 fatty acids, which help support skin structure, hydration and resilience.

500ml glass bottle. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Free from lactose, wheat/gluten and non-GM soya. For external use only.

Quality and Sourcing

This oil is sourced exclusively from India, a region with a long heritage of organic castor bean cultivation. The castor beans are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers and extracted using cold-press methods, which preserve the natural fatty acid profile of the oil. This oil is hexane-free. Hexane is a chemical solvent commonly used in commercial oil extraction that can leave residues in the final product. Avoiding hexane helps maintain purity and makes this oil suitable for regular topical use, including direct skin contact during castor oil packing. Sold in a glass bottle to avoid the contamination risk associated with plastic packaging.

Why is castor oil useful for the scalp, brows and lashes?

As hormones shift, the scalp, brows and lashes are often among the first areas to show the effects. Castor oil is thick, rich in fatty acids and acts as an occlusive, meaning it helps seal moisture into the skin and hair rather than stripping or irritating it. That makes it well suited to these areas, which need support and a stable environment rather than additional stimulation.

Why does cold pressing matter?

Most commercial castor oils are extracted using hexane, a chemical solvent that speeds up production but can leave residues and degrade the oil’s natural fatty acid profile. Cold pressing uses only mechanical pressure, with no heat and no solvents. The result is a purer oil that retains more of its naturally occurring compounds. Hexane-free and pesticide-free processing are the two markers I look for in any castor oil I recommend.
